The Esala ceremony to be held from August 11 to 13 will start with a series of Sri Somaratana Commemoration Dhamma Sermons.

Later the pirith chanting will take place on August 14. The Devadutha and Kumbal Peraheras will parade the streets on August 20 and the Randoli Perahera will take place on August 27.

The Esala ceremony will end with the offering of the devadanaya after the water cutting ceremony at the Boralesgamuwa Thotupola.
